Reliance Jio effect: Airtel launches new postpaid, prepaid plans starting at Rs 349

For postpaid users, Airtel has essentially overhauled the existing Rs 499 plan.

The data war is endless, and we sort of like it. Soon after Vodafone India launched some new postpaid RED plans in the country, Airtel has now joined course with new postpaid and prepaid plans. Postpaid Airtel subscribers will now get unlimited free outgoing calls on national roaming along with unlimited local and STD calls, and 20GB of 4G/3G data at Rs 499 per month with Infinity Postpaid plan.
Essentially, this Airtel plan has existed earlier as well, however, the offerings of the plan have now been overhauled. The new plan also offers free Airtel Secure device protection plan for smartphones against physical damage and malware. Customers will also get free subscription to Wynk Music and Airtel TV.
As Airtel is doing with other existing plans, it will also carry forward the unused data to the next billing cycle with its Data rollover feature. Customers can accumulate up to 200GB data. ALSO READ: Jio effect: Idea Cellular rolls out Rs 398 plan with unlimited calling, up to 70GB data
